December 27, 2018

New Year’s Eve is a time of celebration and new beginnings. You can start thinking about what you want to accomplish in 2019 with my 3 tips for achieving New Year’s resolutions. Then, ring in the New Year with these low carb New Year’s Eve recipes for fancy finger foods, which feature creamy dips and a combination of surf and turf, plus low carb cocktails worthy of a toast at midnight.

Low Carb Dips

Spinach Artichoke Dip

Serve this creamy dip with Cheese Straws, cut-up veggies or Mixed Veggie Kebabs.

Creamy Sundried Tomato and Goat Cheese Dip

Crunchy Zucchini Crisps pair nicely with this tangy cheesy combo.

Chorizo with Lemon Mayo Dip

The Lemon Mayo Dip helps cool the heat of these spicy bits of sausage.

Chipotle Chicken Bites with Creamy Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce

You’ll love these chicken skewers, especially when dunked in a sauce of blue cheese.

Baked Brie with Sundried Tomatoes and Pine Nuts

Although not technically a dip, this cocktail party classic is always a hit, and it’s naturally low in carbs.

Low Carb Savory Bites

Asparagus Wrapped in Chili-Spiced Bacon

Bacon and a dusting of chili powder turn asparagus into quite the treat.

Mushrooms Stuffed with Sausage and Mozzarella

If you skip the breadcrumbs commonly used when making stuffed mushrooms, they become an amazing low carb appetizer. You won’t be able to have just one!

Sautéed Cocktail Meatballs

You’ll probably want to double or triple the servings for this recipe, another cocktail classic. They will go quick.

Crab Cocktail

Present your crab cocktail in martini glasses with small serving forks for a classy touch.

Scallops Wrapped in Bacon

Water chestnuts add a nice crunch to savory scallops and bacon.

Low Carb New Year’s Eve Cocktails

Ginger Lemon Champagne Sparkler

You can’t have a New Year’s celebration without champagne, and this sparkly drink will have everyone cheering.

Peppermint Eggnog Martini

‘Tis the season for eggnog… and martinis.

White Wine Sangria

Grab your punch bowl. While this low carb sangria takes some advance prep, your guests will love this festive drink they can serve themselves.
