June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, which is perfect timing if you’re following a low carb diet like Atkins, since non-starchy veggies and low-sugar fruits are high in fiber. Fiber plays an important role because it helps you sustain steady energy levels, regulate your blood sugar and control your hunger, all of which help you lose weight.
