More Low-Carb Swaps for High-Carb Favorites

August 15, 2016

I can never write enough blogs about low-carb swaps for some traditional high-carb foods. Having all these delicious options makes it a no-brainer to live a low-carb lifestyle.

Pizza

Did you think cheesy pizza was a thing of your high-carb past? You can still enjoy delicious low-carb pizza on Atkins.

For a quick and easy option, heat up any of Atkins’ frozen pizzas.

You can also whip up your own hearty and cheesy pizza dish—just swap out traditional pizza crust for a Portobello mushroom in this Portobello Mushroom Pizza recipe.

French Fries

Crispy French fries fresh out of the fryer are hard to resist, but you can swap them out for low-carb Lightly Spicy Turnip Fries.

Potato Salad

Creamy potato salad is a staple of summertime BBQs everywhere—try this low-carb version, where you swap out potatoes for cauliflower: Cauliflower Salad.

Potato Chips

Swap out salty, greasy potato chips for naturally low-carb Zucchini Crisps.

Lasagna

It might be too hot to turn on your oven just yet, but when you do, swap out traditional lasagna noodles for zucchini (which is in season now) and make Turkey and Roasted Zucchini Lasagna.

If you don’t have time to cook, you can heat up Atkins’ frozen Meat Lasagna in minutes.

Pasta

Do you miss good ol’ spaghetti and meatballs? You can enjoy flavorful Zucchini Noodles with Spicy Chicken Sausage instead.

Ice Cream

We can all scream for ice cream, especially if it’s low-carb ice cream. Whether you want low-carb chocolate ice cream or low-carb coconut-vanilla ice cream, Atkins has plenty of delicious low-carb ice cream recipes to pick from.

Candy

Sometimes the only thing that will satisfy a sugar craving is a sweet treat. Fortunately, you can indulge in Atkins’ Treats, knowing they are low in sugar and carbs.
