This St. Patrick’s Day, you can celebrate the luck of the Irish with some culinary delights that may make you feel like you’ve found that pot of gold. You have your pick of traditional main dishes with a low carb twist, emerald-hued drinks and tasty treats.

St. Patrick’s Day Entrees

This year’s star of the show is a low carb cabbage gratin recipe that will melt in your mouth and be the perfect companion to your Irish entrée.

Low Carb Cabbage Gratin

This iconic Irish cabbage dish is comfort food at its best, featuring bacon, cream and melted Gruyere cheese.

Homemade Keto Corned Beef Brisket

This recipe takes some time, but it is well worth it. Beef brisket is brined in a marinade of vinegar, salt, peppercorns, coriander, mustard seed, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. The result is tender and juicy slices of brisket that pair perfectly with Low Carb Cabbage Gratin.

TIP: If you have leftover corned beef, turn it into Keto Corned Beef Hash, a hearty and savory breakfast.

Low Carb St. Patrick’s Day Drinks

You can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day without some lucky libations. Dry stout beers and Irish whiskey are typically lower in carbs. Enjoy your Irish whiskey neat, on the rocks or with a splash of water.

Keto Shamrock Protein Shake Smoothie

This refreshing mocktail is simple to make. Mix sparkling water with a squeeze of lime and add a few drops of liquid stevia. Garnish with a slice of cucumber or a sprig of mint. Or a shamrock if you can find one. Throw in a few drops of green food coloring for a festive touch.
