* The average person can expect to lose 1-2 lbs. per week. Results may vary. Weight loss is influenced by exercise, food consumed and diet
I have lived my adult life as a large person. I didn’t really care what I was putting into my body or when I would eat. I suffered from constant heartburn, high blood pressure, and joint pain. So, in the spring of 2014 our small office got a group that decided we would do a three month weight loss challenge. The path I chose was Atkins.
Starting on March 1st of 2014 I eliminated carbs, greatly reduced the amount of food I ate. I began eating small amounts every two hours and never having a large amount at any given time. I found the Atkins shakes and bars to be the most helpful. This change allowed me to never get hungry and I added walking to my plan. Through the three months I ended up losing 40 pounds, which was great. However, I was in a zone and stayed with it through the summer of 2014 and by mid-September I was down to 185 pounds.
Since that time to now I continue to eat in the same manner. I continue to exercise and have maintained my weight. Before I had a waist size of 42″ and now I am at 33″. I used to wear XXL and even some XXXL shirts and now I wear Large and even some Mediums! My close friends have walked right past me when we have scheduled get-togethers, it is too funny! This has become contagious to some people around me and they are using the same techniques I used, including Atkins low carb plans and are experiencing the same results! I never thought I would ever be at this weight again in my life. I am 46 years old and the last time I was at 185 was as a high school sophomore. Thanks Atkins!!!
