How Do You Carve Out Time For Yourself to De-stress?

April 16, 2015

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing fabulous! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been SO busy of late. With so much going on in our daily lives most often it’s the amount of stress that we carry that can bring us to a grinding halt both mentally and physically. Stress can rob you of sleep and cause chaos with your immune system making you instantly more susceptible to getting sick. However, we can all choose to not let stress win.

To keep myself sane and from reaching for an unhealthy snack or meal, I make sure to carve time into every day to decompress. There’s nothing like going for a brisk walk to clear my head and keep me from feeling overwhelmed by life. Also, spending meaningful time with my family always makes me feel better.

If you have time, give yourself some ‘me time.’ Draw yourself a warm bath and just sit and relax for a bit. Or if you prefer, you can listen to your favorite music or maybe exercise for a half-hour. Making time to let go of your daily worries is SO important to a successful weight loss plan. Doing this along with Atkins has changed my life. I’m more balanced and happier than ever.

What about you? How do you de-stress after a long day? Tell me everything!

X,
Mrs. O
