Sesame Snow Peas

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium (4-1/8" long) Scallions or Spring Onions
  • 1/3 tablespoon Dried Whole Sesame Seeds
  • 1/3 tablespoon Tamari Soybean Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 8 ounces Snowpeas (Pea Pod)

Directions:

This recipe is acceptable for all phase of the Atkins diet except the first 2 weeks of Induction due to the sesame seeds. 
  1. Cut snow peas on diagonal into long thin slices (or leave whole). Blanch snow peas 30 seconds in a large pot of lightly salted water. Drain in a colander. Rinse under cold water; transfer to a bowl.
  2. Toss snow peas with oil,1 tsp soy sauce, diced green onion, and 1 tsp sesame seeds.
