Keto Flax Meal Pizza Crust
Cooking tip: You can also use your hands to spread the mixture evenly into the greased parchment.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 teaspoon leaf Oregano
  • 1 1/2 cups Flax Seed Meal
  • 1/2 cup Tap Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 large Eggs (Whole)
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder (Straight Phosphate, Double Acting)
  • 1 teaspoon Xylitol
  • 3/4 teaspoon leaf Basil (Dried)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Directions:

This naturally keto and low carb recipe makes a more chewy bread-like crust. The spices are optional but add a nice flavor. Consider adding up to 1/2 tsp garlic powder along with the spices.
 
  1.  Whisk the wet ingredients (first three ingredients) in a small bowl.  Set aside. 
  2.  Combine the dry ingredients (all ingredients that remain) blending thoroughly.  Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients; mixing well; allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken up.   
  3.  Spread onto a pan with greased parchment and use a greased angled spreader/spatula to spread out into a circle or square.  Bake at 425°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Top with toppings and bake at 425°F for a few minutes or use a broiler to quickly melt cheese and toppings.  Makes 8 slices.
