Cooking tip: This recipe could also be used as a dipping sauce!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons xylitol
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced or pressed fresh garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

If you don't have Italian seasoning on hand, use a combination of basil, oregano and parsley instead. Xylitol crystals are available in natural foods stores and the baking department of most well-stocked supermarkets. Each serving is 2 Tbsp.
  1. Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar and xylitol in a medium bowl. Stir in Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, minced or pressed garlic, pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until well blended. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Stir before using.
