Keto Citrus and Basil Marinated Goat Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 3 teaspoons Orange Zest
  • 12 ounces Goats Cheese (Hard)
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Zest
  • 3 teaspoons Lemon Zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Basil

Directions:

You will need lemon (1 tbsp), lime (1 tsp) and orange (1 tbsp) zest for this recipe. 
  1. Combine oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, and the zests with 10 whole peppercorns (or 1/2 tsp ground black pepper) in a bowl; mix well.
  2. Place 12 goat cheese slices (or balls) in a small, shallow pan. Pour oil mixture over cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  3. Bring to room temperature before serving. Each goat cheese round (or ball) serves one.
