Pancetta-Flavored Braised Cabbage Recipe

0 1/4 tsp SALT Morton Salt, Inc.
0 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
0 1/4 cup Chicken Broth, Bouillon or Consomme
4 cup, chopped Cabbage
1 1/2 oz PANCETTA Euro Foods Inc.
1 tbsp Light Olive Oil
0 1/3 tbsp WHITE WINE VINEGAR Mizkan America, Inc.
0 1/2 cup, sliced Fennel, Bulk
0 1/2 cup, chopped Onions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook pancetta 3 to 4 minutes, until browned and crisp. Transfer to a plate and when cool cut into small pieces; set aside.
- Slice the onion, fennel and core and slice the cabbage; set aside. Add oil to the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and fennel cooking for 3 minutes, until lightly browned. Add sliced cabbage, broth, salt and crushed red pepper.
- Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook until tender, 18 to 20 minutes.
- Stir in vinegar and pancetta. Serve immediately.
