INGREDIENTS

  • 0 1/8 tsp BLACK PEPPER Finlay Extracts & Ingredients USA, Inc.
  • 2 clove GARLIC Iberia Foods Corporation
  • 4 Tbsp Cream, heavy, liquid
  • 0 1/4 cup, shredded CHEDDAR CHEESE Pineland Farms Potato Company Inc.
  • 0 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter Stick
  • 1 fl oz WATER Giant Eagle, Inc.
  • 1 lb Broccoli Flower Clusters
  • 0 1/8 tsp SALT Morton Salt, Inc.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the broccoli, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and transfer to food processor or blender.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Minced the garlic and in the butter sauté until both are golden brown, about 2 minutes. Stir in the cream and water; transfer to a food processor with the broccoli and purée. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve hot topped with shredded cheese. Try this flavorful purée as a nice change from mashed cauliflower or steamed broccoli.
