Ingredients:
- 144 ounce boneless, raw (yield after cooking) Fresh Ham
- 2/3 ounce Thyme
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Cloves (Ground)
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup (sugar-free)
- 2 tablespoons Vinegar (Cider)
- 2 teaspoons Orange Zest
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Sucralose Based Sweetener (Sugar Substitute)
- 6 teaspoons Stone Ground Mustard
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Add 3/4 cup water to a roasting pan with a rack. Place the ham on the rack and insert thryme sprigs between every other slice. Bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes covered with aluminum foil.
- Remove ham from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F. Combine the maple syrup, sucralose, mustard, cider vinegar, orange zest, minced ginger, minced garlic, cinnamon and cloves in a small sauce pan. Simmer for 2 minutes; remove from heat. Pour or brush the ham with the gaze and continue to bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Allow to sit 15 minutes before serving.
