Keto Maple Chicken Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup (sugar-free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon leaf Tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 32 ounces Chicken Breast Filet, skinless
  • 3 teaspoons Dijon Mustard

Directions:

You'll use wooden skewers, soak the skewers in warm water 20 minutes before using or just use metal skewers. 
  1. Place chicken in a shallow baking dish or re-sealable plastic bag.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk syrup, mustard, herbes de Provence, salt and pepper until smooth. Pour on top of chicken and marinate for 4 hours up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. When ready to start cooking, preheat oven to 450°F. Thread strips on metal or water-soaked bamboo skewers and set excess marinade aside.
  4. Arrange chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for 15 minutes, until cooked though and lightly golden.
  5. While chicken cooks, simmer marinade in a small saucepan over medium heat for 4 minutes.
  6. To serve, drizzle chicken with heated marinade.
