Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup shredded Gruyere Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 4 each Leeks
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth, Bouillon or Consomme
- 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter Stick
- 1 tablespoon Canola Vegetable Oil
Directions:
- In an ovenproof skillet, melt butter and oil over medium-high heat. Add diced leeks and cook 5 minutes until they begin to sweat (release liquid). Add broth, salt, and pepper. Cover and continue cooking 15 minutes until leeks are tender. Uncover and boil off liquid in the skillet.
- Heat broiler. Sprinkle leeks evenly with cheese. Broil 3 to 4 minutes, 5 from heat source, until browned.
