Keto Spicy Tuna Steak Salad
Cooking tip: Feel free to swap in your favorite lettuce for this recipe, as net carb change will likely be minimal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons Coriander Leaf (Dried)
  • 4 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2/3 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 6 teaspoons Lemon Zest
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger (Ground)
  • 24 ounces boneless, raw Tuna
  • 2 cups Arugula (Rocket)

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine zest, salt, pepper, coriander, ginger and cinnamon. Stir in 2 tablespoons of oil. Rub mixture on tuna steaks.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over high heat until it shimmers. Add tuna steaks and sauté until just cooked through, about 4 -6 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking time.
  3. Meanwhile, place 2 tsp vinegar in a small bowl. Slowly whisk in 3 teaspoons olive oil (or more) until dressing has slightly thickened. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper.
  4. Toss 2 cups greens with dressing.
  5. To serve, cut fish into 1/4-inch slices and lay over greens.
