Cooking tip: Julienne means cutting into short, thin strips. Do this quickly by stacking all the basil leaves on top of one another and rolling the bunch. Cut along the short end to get many little strips of basil in half the time!

Ingredients:

  • 5 cherry tomatoes (85g)
  • 2 ounces fresh Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar.
  3. Julienne or chop the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle on top. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and serve immediately.
