Ingredients:

  • 1/4 ea fresh cucumber, with skin USDA
  • 1/2 cup municipal tap ice cubes USDA
  • 1/4 cup canned pineapple, chunks, in water USDA
  • 2 tablespoons whey protein powder FNDDS
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds FNDDS
  • 1/4 teaspoon imitation banana flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder, organic Now
  • 1/2 cup macadamia milk, unsweetened Milkadamia
  • 1/2 tablespoon truvia, sweet completed granulated sweetener

Directions:

Ingredient notes: For the whey protein powder in this recipe, look for an option that has about 22 g protein and 1 net carb per ounce (28 g). Also note that spirulina is available in two colors, green or blue (as pictured). Either option will work for this recipe, but to get the blue color, you need to use the blue spirulina.
  1. In a blender, layer chopped cucumber along with ingredients as listed in the ingredients list. Process until well combined, taste and adjust sweetener to taste. One smoothie is one serving.
