Six raw meat patties with herbs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, with fresh cilantro and green onions nearby.
Grilled meat patty topped with fresh cilantro on a white plate, with green onions and a small bowl of dipping sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (32 ounces) ground pork
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Glaze, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions (25g)
  • 4 teaspoons fresh gated ginger root
  • 3 teaspoons minced or pressed fresh garlic
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (4g)

Directions:

Use the Atkins recipe to make Teriyaki Glaze for this recipe. You will need 1/2 cup (8 servings) for this recipe.
  1. Lightly oil a grill over medium heat, or heat broiler.
  2. In a large bowl combine ground pork, 1/4 cup (2 oz) teriyaki sauce, scallions, ginger, minced or pressed garlic, and sesame oil. Form into six thick patties, about 6 ounces each.
  3. Grill patties covered, 7 to 8 minutes. Before flipping, make sure the patties are solidly cooked on the first side and gently flip as these patties are a bit fragile. Continue to grill until just cooked through with an internal temperature of 160°F, another 7-8 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce mixed with 1-2 tablespoons water to thin it out and chopped fresh cilantro (optional).
