  • 4 medium slice (yield after cooking) Bacon
  • 1 small Onions
  • 8 large Egg (Whole)
  • 1/4 cup Tap Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup, shredded Gruyere Cheese

  1. Heat a 10-inch nonstick ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.  Add bacon and sauté until it begins to crisp, 3 to 5 minutes.  Dice the onion and add it to the skillet; sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Whisk eggs, water, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.  Add egg mixture and cheese to skillet; cook until eggs are set on bottom but top remains slightly runny, about 5 minutes.
  3. Heat broiler to high.  Transfer skillet to oven and broil until eggs are set and golden, about 2 minutes.  Cut into wedges and serve.
