Classic Apple Tart
Cooking tip: We love the idea of customizing this recipe to make it your own! If you add any ingredients, just be sure to keep an eye on net carbs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter Stick
  • 1/4 cup Sucralose Based Sweetener (Sugar Substitute)
  • 3/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg (Ground)
  • 5 medium (2-3/4" diameter) (approx 3 per pound) Apples (Without Skin)

Directions:

  1. Prepare a full recipe of Atkins Pie Crust and press evenly into a 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom. Freeze 15 minutes.  Slice apples and set aside.
  2. Heat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar substitute, cinnamon and nutmeg. Toss until apples are evenly coated. Spoon into crust; dot top with butter.
  3. Bake tart 30 minutes. Cover loosely with foil and bake 10 to 20 minutes more, until apples are tender when pierced with the tip of a knife. Cool tart on wire rack.
  4. Serve warm or at room temperature, with ice cream and praline sauce, if desired.
