How to Calculate Atkins Net Carbs
Atkins Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrates – Fiber – Sugar Alcohols/Glycerin (if applicable)
×INGREDIENTS
-
3 oz Beef Jerky
-
8 oz Cream Cheese
-
0 1/2 cup Sour Cream (Cultured)
-
2 medium (4-1/8" long) Scallions or Spring Onions
-
0 1/8 cup, chopped Green Sweet Pepper
-
0 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
DIRECTIONS
Try to find a beef jerky that is less than 3g NC per serving. Ideally it should have no gNC but we have allowed for 3g in this recipe.- Chop the beef jerkey and add to a bowl with the cream cheese, sour cream, diced green onions, diced green pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Blend together until fully mixed and then add black pepper to taste.
- Let stand 1 hour for flavors to blend. Serving size is 2 tablespoons.
- Serving suggetion: Serve 1-2 tablespoons in the cavity of a celery stalk (don't forget to add in the extra Net Carbs; 1 stalk celery = 1g Net Carbs)
Cooking Tip
If you’re serving as an appetizer, plate your dip with two or three different low carb snacks!
