Tastes Like… Chicken!
If you’re following Atkins’ low-carb lifestyle or you’re just interested in making healthy changes to your eating habits, it’s quite likely chicken is a staple in your life. I’m always looking for ways to spice up my chicken routine, so it’s not so “routine”, because it truly is a protein-packed, versatile, flavorful meal option that tastes great for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is naturally low in carbs. Here are some great recipes I’ve found that my entire family loves:
This is a fresh, springtime dish that is super easy to grill. The peach salsa adds the perfect touch of sweetness.
I love the Italian flavors in this dish, and it’s so simple to throw together on a busy weeknight. Chicken thighs are also a very flavorful alternative to chicken breasts.
This recipe is elegant enough for guests, plus the bright green chimichuri sauce tastes just as delicious drizzled on steak. I’ll typically serve both steak and chicken, so my guests can have their pick of both.
This is one of my favorite lunch options, and you can also use shredded rotisserie chicken instead of grilled chicken breast to make this dish come together in mere minutes.
This savory recipe is super satisfying for either breakfast or lunch.
When my kiddos are craving mac and cheese, I’ll whip this up so that I can indulge in it as well, without the guilt. The chicken adds a boost of protein that makes this dish fulfilling and comforting.
Chicken tenders? Yes! The tarragon cream sauce takes these traditional chicken tenders to the next level, but they are just as good served with ranch dressing low-sugar ketchup (which is how my kids prefer them).
